March 2012 : Ricardo Guadalupe, Wilhelm Schmid, Patrick Kury, Marc Gläser

Ricardo Guadalupe reaps the fruit of his labour and becomes CEO of Hublot. The tandem formed with Jean-Claude Biver since his appointment as Managing Director of Hublot in 2005 has proved its effectiveness, and the transition that started last year was formalised in January 2012.

Wilhelm Schmid took over in January as CEO of the beautiful German mechanical watch brand, A. Lange & Söhne, after Aston Martin enthusiast Jerôme Lambert, (CEO of Jaeger LeCoultre which also belongs to the Richemont group) organised a major overhaul in the company last year. Wilhelm Schmid previously made the motors at BMW purr.

Patrick Kury is completing in April a six-month period as acting CEO at Eterna and Porsche Design Timepieces, after which he is liable to be confirmed in this role. Having occupied several strategic functions of a mainly technical nature within the company since 2005, the father of Spherodrive technology imposed this warm-up on himself in order to take things step by step.

Marc Gläser has benefitted from a structural reorganisation at Maurice Lecroix, of which the majority capital share was acquired last year by the DKSH group. Previously international Sales Director, Marc Gläser has now been appointed Managing Director, a newly created position in which he reports directly to the DKSH group.

Brice Lechevalier is editor-in-chief of GMT and Skippers, which he co-founded in 2000 and 2001 respectively. He has also been CEO of WorldTempus since it joined the GMT Publishing stable, of which he is director and joint shareholder. In 2012 he created the Geneva Watch Tour, and he has been an advisor to the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève since 2011. Also closely involved in sailing, he has published the magazine of the Société Nautique de Genève since 2003, and was one of the founders of the SUI Sailing Awards in 2009 and the Concours d’Elégance for motor boats at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2015.
