March 2011 : David Gouten, Joachim Ziegler, Jacques, Patrik P. Hoffmann, Philippe Auriol

David Gouten has agreed to take on a new job specially created by Graff, and is thus since June serving as Vice-President for International Development. The brand currently runs a network of 40 exclusive boutiques worldwide. After ten highly successful years at Harry Winston, his task will be to define the strategy that will boost Graff even further in both the watchmaking and jewellery fields.

Joachim Ziegler took the head of Les Ambassadeurs group in April. This motorcycling enthusiast had previously spent ten years as Marketing & Retail Managing Director for Gübelin, an experience that has given him invaluable insights into the Swiss market and luxury issues. With the reopening of the Geneva boutique this summer, Joachim Ziegler should be able to share good news in the next issue of the group’s L.A magazine.

Patrik P. Hoffmann was appointed CEO of Ulysse Nardin on April 27th by the extraordinary general assembly held following the death of Rolf W. Schnyder, whose widow Chai Schnyder has become the new Chairperson of the Board of Directors. Patrik P. Hoffmann has been with the company since 1999 and in particular played a key role in Ulysse Nardin’s success in North and Central American while heading the subsidiary in Boca Raton.

Jacques Philippe Auriol is regaining a taste for the role of CEO with his appointment at the head of Technomarine since January. The former CEO of Baume & Mercier and Gucci had created his own strategic and distribution consulting company in 2007 and was thus able to savour the joys of independence for around four years. He has just launched a new advertising campaign (see the Zoom section) and major new product launches are expected in 2012.

In 2012 he created the Geneva Watch Tour, and he has been an advisor to the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève since 2011. Also closely involved in sailing, he has published the magazine of the Société Nautique de Genève since 2003, and was one of the founders of the SUI Sailing Awards in 2009 and the Concours d’Elégance for motor boats at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2015.
