While the actual birth of Chronoswiss dates back to 1984 and it was taken over by the Ebstein family in 2012, the inauguration of its new headquarters with integrated workshops, as well as its positioning as the Luzern brand, were officialized in late August 2014 with a ceremony held in the presence of public authorities and celebrities. Firmly established in its more than 800 sq.m. premises on the city’s Löwenstrasse, Chronoswiss distinguishes itself not only by its strategic geographical location in terms of watch tourism flows, but also by its concept of perpetual openness towards the public and its workshops laid out as educational areas (see the article on worldtempus.com). The friendly and fun-filled evening event following the ribbon-cutting was held in the Swiss Transport Museum – the one that attracts the most visitors in the entire country! Oliver and Eva Ebstein took the opportunity to unveil a one-of-a-kind Sirius Lion Heart watch to be auctioned on behalf of the Make-A-Wish foundation, a charity dedicated to children.
