Kerbedanz : Kerbedanz-ing with wolves

Celtic Dogs stands for a limited series of 41 tourbillon watches graced with animal figures whose lunar symbolism was regarded by the Celts as that of a hunter or the messenger from above. Koi carp embody life, fecundity, strength and perseverance, as well as a 14-piece limited tourbillon series, as too does the 3 Horses model based on “man’s noblest conquest” which symbolizes passion and an appetite for freedom. Whether one-of-a-kind or part of a micro-series, each Kerberdanz timepiece enshrines an initiatory journey, especially in that the youthful brand from Neuchâtel has adopted as its motto “giving meaning to beauty”. Moreover, a luxurious “Book of Birth” accompanies each timepiece, providing an in-depth illustration of the legendary inspiration for its design. Enameling and miniature enamel painting, guilloché, base-relief and micro-sculpture, goldsmithing and watchmaking decorations : nothing is too beautiful for clients with a taste for bespoke pieces and as a means of honoring family roots. The brand founder Tigran Kerdanz pays tribute to his ancestor : a brilliantly clever blacksmith whose talent and goodness have brought good luck to his descendants. Another distinctive symbol applied to product design lies in the positioning of the crown between 1 and 2 o’clock : the South-West – North-East diagonal is an axis used by ancient builders to determine the position of the cornerstone, as well as the birth of sunlight at the dawn of the summer solstice on June 21st, around the 45th parallel of the Northern Hemisphere.
