Richard Mille and automobile elegance  

Ten thousand spectators congregated on September 7th 2014  in the French-style gardens of the Château de Chantilly designed by André Le Nôtre, to attend the first edition of the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Millle. This event signaled the great comeback to France of the concours d’élégance that has always retained its French name. The competition brought together various automobile manufacturers vying with each other in a parade of ten concept-cars, presented along with fashion models clothed in creations by various couture houses. The first winner of this trophy was the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante by Touring, accompanied by Paco Rabanne apparel.

 

Jaeger-LeCoultre roars in Venice 

Partner of the 71st Venice International Film Festival known as the Mostra, the company from Le Sentier presented its own special prize to the winners of the Golden Lion, Best Actress and Best Actor of the Year awards. Director Roy Andersson along with actress Alba Rohrwacher and actor Adam Driver were each presented with an iconic Reverso watch. These personalized timepieces, crafted in keeping with the finest horological traditions, are adorned with a lacquered engraving depicting a lion and bearing the inscription “71. Mostra” on the back.


Brice Lechevalier is editor-in-chief of GMT and Skippers, which he co-founded in 2000 and 2001 respectively. He has also been CEO of WorldTempus since it joined the GMT Publishing stable, of which he is director and joint shareholder. In 2012 he created the Geneva Watch Tour, and he has been an advisor to the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève since 2011. Also closely involved in sailing, he has published the magazine of the Société Nautique de Genève since 2003, and was one of the founders of the SUI Sailing Awards in 2009 and the Concours d’Elégance for motor boats at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2015.
