Having become a Caribbean cult regatta in just six editions, in April, the Voiles de Saint Barth saw the gathering of 70 competition boats from 20 countries, including the Rambler 88 racing yacht owned by businessman Georges David, who was presented with the 2015 trophy by Richard Mille, sponsor of the race ever since the beginning. The latter also revealed a special 50-piece series of the RM 60-01 Regatta Flyback Chronograph, bedecked in the competition colors. Boss of Richard Mille Europe and the Middle East, Peter Harrison, defended the brand’s colors magnificently at the helm of his TP52.
HYT and Alinghi : guaranteed adrenalin
When fluid mechanics meet wind science and the athletic prowess of the Swiss team, the ingredients of a colorful partnership are all there. The marriage of these two high-tech worlds has become a reality within the framework of the new challenge launched by Alinghi with its participation in the Bullitt GC32 Racing Tour. This brand-new regatta circuit, undertaken aboard 10-meter carbon foiling catamarans capable of taking off in just eight knots of wind, promises to be spectacular! For HYT, which is already involved in the RC44 Tour, this is also a question of strengthening its position in the world of competitive sailing.
