Bonmont Golf & Country Club

At the Château de Bonmont restaurant, the appetizers are a multi-sensory experience with visual pleasure first in line. The scent of the neighboring forest and the powerful surrounding silence facilitates a culinary tasting experience focused on local produce in an exceptional panorama. Literally at the very foot of the Jura mountains, the medieval village of Chéserex is located 20 minutes from Geneva and about the same distance from the Vallée de Joux. It is overlooked by Bonmont Golf & Country Club, a magnificently maintained 62-hectare showpiece of a park with a looming 12th century Cistercian abbey and a 4 star hotel that was entirely renovated in 2016. Golfers and members are not the only ones to enjoy this haven of peace, as friends of the château and outside clients are also welcome at the restaurant (by reservation only). Gourmets, businessmen and members are hosted daily for lunch and dinner on the terrace or in the dining room of the château which offers a spectacular view over the Don Harradine designed golf course, Lake Geneva and the Alps. Chef Ciro Guarino alternates great local classics such as the not-to-be-missed perch fillets and Italian-flavored discoveries offered either à la carte or as the dish of the day drawn from his vegetable garden (multicolored chard and goat’s cheese friend in breadcrumbs), or or snacks such as the Bonmont Burger with raclette cheese. Grilled tuna tagliata or beef fillet with a choice of six accompaniments, including eggplant “alla parmigiana”, pea purée, quinoa salad with vegetables or homemade potato chips. Ideal for lunch, dinner, a romantic weekend or a conference.
