Even for a brand whose roots can be traced back to a heritage that began in 1777, creating a new collection is no mean challenge. And when this inheritance comprises the origins of the automatic movement, perpetuating it is a challenge and a matter of respect. With the launch of its LAB line, presented at Baselworld 2016, Perrelet is honoring this prestigious past while looking firmly to the future. The very modern appearance of its cushion-shaped case with engraved case middle, of the structured dial and of the octagonal bezel, radiates a powerful personality. The nod to the invention of the automatic movement escapes the confines of tradition, by revealing in full the rotor with its striped rim revolving around the dial beneath the hour-markers. This atypical and complex construction of the LAB, in which the dial, movement and case are intimately entwined, was produced in-house. Creative freedom consistently gives wings, and may the spreading of these wings benefit the broadest possible audience !
