The second tourbillon Bovet has designed for women, the Récital 9 Miss Alexandra adopts the specific shape of a delightfully well-proportioned oval, along with an evocatively beautiful openworked movement. The three-quarter plates provide spacious accommodation for the tourbillon personalised by a central diamond and ‘smiling’ bridges. The hours and minutes are displayed by original hands forming a heart when they meet up. The construction is enhanced by finely chased decoration, including the midnight blue sky that appears to be studded with stars around the moon which is engraved according to an authentic cartography of its face. Two mobile pallets move across its surface, providing an original way of symbolising the different phases. The corresponding corrector, cleverly integrated within the centre of the crown, operates by simply pressing with the finger on the flat ornamental sapphire. One may also note the extreme discretion of the 7-day power reserve displayed by a hand of which one sees only the tip protruding from the outer edge of the sky background.
