“Grand feu” (full fired) enamel had thus far been conspicuously missing from the Grandes Complications collection by Breguet. The Maison has now filled this gap by unveiling its Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat Automatique émail “Grand Feu” ref. 5367. On one side, an opening in the pure full fired enamel dial reveals a tourbillon topped by a graphic bar adorned with a spinel. An attentive look at this dial focused on essentials shows that the chapter ring takes certain liberties with the curve of the bezel, a nod to the pocket watches made by Abraham-Louis Breguet back in his day. Attachment to traditions is revealed on the caseback through the subtle decorations of the rhodium-plated movement. Bridges, barrel, platinum oscillating weight : nothing has been left to chance by the engraver’s touch that cleverly enhances the hidden face of this elegant tourbillon framed by a rose gold case.
