It all seems quite logical. The more material you remove, the lighter a watch will be. The Octo Finissimo Skeleton is thus lighter than the non-skeletonized version from which it is derived. In addition, the Octo case is made of titanium, thereby further reducing its weight. It should be pointed out that this particular ultra-thin Bulgari model with its spectacular design is already not very heavy in itself. This physical lightness of the new Finissimo Skeleton version is matched and accentuated by visual lightness. It has no dial as such, apart from a minute circle that makes two detours to surround the small seconds and the powerreserve indicator. The degree of movement skeleton-working is as extreme as can be reasonably permitted by this ultra-thin construction – by definition not the sturdiest. The mere fact that this movement, its mainplate, its bridges and its barrels have all been openworked represents an exercise in horological acrobatics successfully undertaken by Bulgari.
