Creator of the Admiral’s Cup line in 1960 and involved in the world of sailing for many years, the Corum brand naturally wished to develop an original and high-performance regatta watch. The new CO 040 calibre features a countdown timer that is adjustable from 0 to 10 minutes via the crown, coupled with a remarkable readable digital jumping display. At the start of the race, a “crazy” or idler-type wheel blocks the start time and the high-precision chronograph takes over to record up to 12 hours of racing. On the design front, the Admiral’s Cup AC-One 45 Regatta respects the collection’s original aesthetics with a twelve-sided bezel and nautical pennants on the inner bezel ring. The hour indications, with hands and hour-markers coated in light Superluminova, are elegantly distinguished from the red-accented chronograph measurements, all framed by a titanium case with contrasting black PVD-finished elements and polished or satin-brushed surfaces.
