Eberhard & Co : Passion re-edited

Two cult models have been revisited by the current owners of the independent Eberhard brand, with enthusiasts keeping a keen eye on each limited series. First launched in the 1960s, the Contograf represented an innovation with its fast date adjustment and its minutes counter featuring three separate three-minute markings designed to correspond to the phone clicks that used to occur every three minutes in the days when the cost of intercity phone calls made it worth being careful. Its new version is enriched with a ceramic bezel, an engraved screw-down back and a metal bracelet featuring a patented folding clasp. The more recently introduced (2001) Chrono 4 automatic model is the only chronograph with four horizontal counters ensuring optimal readability. This instantly recognizable patented display mode is now framed by a 40 mm case and a sportier look including a black or white dial.
