You doubtless have to be a passionate devotee of high-speed thrills and finely tuned mechanisms to fully appreciate this new Mach One SkyEagle Chronograph. However, informed connoisseurs are also liable to admire the latest model from the Ellicott brand of British origin, for its perfect blend of tradition and innovation. Its cushion-shaped case carved from a block of steel houses the first chronograph movement with an inverted escapement, raised to dial level and visible at 5 o’clock beneath an elegant openworked dial. It also features a single-pusher system to activate the chronograph function, symbolised by a large central sweep seconds hand and a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock. The dial is surrounded by an inner bezel ring bearing a tachometric scale and contributing to the distinctive overall “speed machine” look of this model.
