Focus: HERMES

Galloping ahead

Stepping, trotting, cantering… and now at a gallop, as Hermès reinvents the pace of time. Created by designer Ini Archibong, Hermès’ new women’s collection draws inspiration from the many harnessing objects gathered within the Conservatoire des créations Hermès. Bits, harnesses, reins, straps, saddles ? The designer decided to focus on the specific shape of the stirrup and transform it into a watch featuring an original and refined shape. Its silhouette features a bold combination of a stirrup and an arch, curved like a smooth pebble, punctuated only by a crown at 6 o’clock. Interpreted in rose gold or steel versions, the case can also opt for a precious touch highlighted by a fine setting of 150 diamonds. On the dial side, the Arabic numerals display an original font with, as a subtle stylistic mise en abyme, a figure 8 featuring an upper section shaped like an inverted stirrup. An additional invitation to immerse yourself in the equestrian world of Hermès. Naturally at a gallop and with a blend of elegance, discretion and singularity.
