Founder of the Jacob & Co brand, Jacob Arabo has been creating jewellery for 25 years and watches for 10 years. He is the brains behind certain iconic contemporary pieces such as the Quenttin – which when introduced was the first vertical tourbillon equipped with seven barrels and delivering a 31-day power reserve. Since last summer, the New York-based designer has enlisted the talents of Yvan Arpa (formerly of Baume & Mercier, Hublot and Romain Jerome) – who is on top form and currently serving as COO. Together, they are launching eight new collections at Baselworld comprising around 50 models, including a timepiece equipped with a reverse rotor. The famous Five Time Zones by Jacob & Co have inspired a Grand collection pictured above and nicknamed “Jumbo”, as well as another amazing variation called Ghost. When Mr. Creativity meets Dr. Boldness, singular sparks are sure to fly.
