This year, after the Brilliant Rainbow model launched in 2015 and graced with 48 colored sapphires on its bezel as well as 11 multicolored stones adorning its white mother-of-pearl dial, Jacob & Co. is unveiling an extreme interpretation of this rainbow model : the stunningly luminous Brilliant Full Baguette Rainbow. the entire chromatic spectrum is graphically represented within the watch’s 44 mm diameter by baguette-cut polychrome sapphires spread across 40 beams radiating from the center. Expert gemsetters have selected and strategically positioned each of the stones in order to depict the gradual colorchange effects. This meticulous work involved no less than 447 sapphires. Through this watch totaling over 30 carats, Jacob Arabo, founder of Jacob & Co. and a keen enthusiast of revolutionary and astronomical horological complications, testifies to his second passion – for jewelry – and to his talent for daringly combining it with watchmaking.
