Like a modern-day suit of armor, the new TNT GMT Power- Reserve 43 from Pierre DeRoche is attired in the sturdy exterior that has forged its success. The polished steel plates reinforcing its titanium body, and firmly holding in place its beveled lugs as well as its crown guard, testify to its strength and its power. It now also flaunts the attributes of far-off conquests with its 24-hour graduated, snailed and off-centered dual-time indication. The latter is counter-balanced along the same axis by a display of its vital energy reserve, testifying to its longevity despite the visible onward rush of time. Finally, the almost opaque dial with its velvet-finish center and circular satin-brushed rim makes a striking contrast with its applied metal hour-markers carved in metal and thus creating a heroic and aggressive stage-setting. In its center, two broad sword-shaped hands sweep around the dial without ever concealing the hand pointing to the inner bezel ring and thereby providing instant reading of the date. The strategically placed Super-LumiNova® further reinforces the exceptional legibility of the information at all times.
