Mechanical Art is a new collection designed along the lines of the first models from Speake-Marin, the Piccadilly watches. This new generation will welcome original, simple or complex creations particularly representative of the watchmaker’s inherent creativity. The first is named Triad in reference to the musical chord bearing that name. The three notes also symbolise a complete life cycle – childhood, adulthood and maturity – by means of three pairs of interdependent hands that show the same time. With their signature design, they sweep over gear wheels designed to mimic the brand’s three-pointed logo. The small central hand turns continuously in step with the seconds. The case echoes the Piccadilly spirit and its bezel forms a sophisticated diadem surrounding the mechanical symphony. This collection also features the fluted Louis XV crown and the automatic Eros movement equipped with a mysterious oscillating weight. Speake-Marin looks set to sail off towards promising new horizons.
