30-PIECE LIMITED SERIES

Two and a half centuries of uninterrupted horological creation are not measured by the frequency of launches, but rather by the ability to adapt to market rhythms. Patents and distinctions – such as those of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (prizewinner in 2014 and finalist in 2016) – represent the tip of the Danish-based iceberg, much sought-after among collectors. Skilfully perpetuated age-old techniques serving to decorate movements and dials make each model unique, even within what are by nature limited series. Himself an informed collector with a background in another industry, the owner Søren Petersen continues investing his soul and his resources in order to give full meaning to the exceptional nature of Fine Watchmaking through Urban Jürgensen timepieces. For him, “the past is always present”. Artisanship and heritage will enjoy a new setting as of this spring, in purpose-designed workshops based in Bienne, that will notably be responsible for producing this interpretation of the 1140 L PT model. Presented at Baselworld 2017, this 30-piece limited series picks up the brand’s iconic features such as its Caliber P4 with Swiss lever escapement and its domed platinum Arabic numerals on a hand-guilloché solid silver dial, appearing for the first time in blue. Devotees of extraordinary finishing are sure to appreciate this newcomer to the collection.
